PC-TV Free Satellite TV Viewer is a stripped-down program that supposedly offers a free preview of a for-pay online satellite TV service. Though the for-pay service claims more than 3,000 channels, this program is limited to 10 channels, with no ability to edit or change the selections. While some of the channels the freeware includes seem impressive -- such as ESPN, BBC News, and Bloomberg US -- others are less so. For instance, ABC 12 Minneapolis is great if you're in or from Minnesota; likewise FOX 8 New Orleans. But since we couldn't get any of the channels to load, it's hard for us to judge the quality of the 'service,' let alone the programming. This is MY computer, I bought and paid for it. I believe it is my right to use which ever apps I choose. As far as I am concerned this is malware.
Microsoft makes damned sure you cannot remove/delete/uninstall their pay to play apps. It's really unscrupulous to force these malware apps on users and leave them no way to remove them. When I want to watch Movies & TV I have a TV, I am not going to watch these on a computer monitor. It is unfair and unethical for Microsoft to force these apps such as Movies & TV, Groove Music, Xbox and Skype on consumers with no way to remove them from our computers. It has a nice blend of characters, and a great story behind it.
